Cookie Declaration

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site can leave on your device. Local storage and session storage work similarly for saving preferences. Some third-party embeds can set their own cookies too.

2. What this site uses

It's a static portfolio. I don't run ad trackers here. In practice you might only hit the categories below.

Strictly necessary

Your light or dark theme choice is saved in localStorage under the key theme so the site doesn't flash the wrong mode on reload. That's a preference, not marketing, and it doesn't need consent under typical EU rules.

Analytics

Google Analytics (when configured) counts visits in aggregate (pages viewed, rough time on site). It loads by default; you can turn it off via the cookie banner or cookie preferences in the footer. I wouldn't use it to identify you personally.

Third-party embeds

Some posts or pages may load fonts, media, or embeds from other domains. Those providers can set their own cookies. Their policies apply, not mine.

3. How to control them

Use cookie preferences in the footer to turn analytics on or off. Your browser is the main control panel otherwise. Most browsers let you:

• See stored cookies and delete them.
• Block third-party cookies.
• Block cookies from specific sites.
• Refuse all cookies (which can break some sites).
• Clear cookies when you close the browser.

You can also clear site data or local storage for https://pantelis.theodosiou.me if you want to reset the theme. Blocking everything may mean the site forgets dark mode on your next visit.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There's no agreed standard for how sites should respond, so I don't change behavior based on it. Either way, I'm not following you around the web from this portfolio.

5. Changes

If I add or remove a tool that uses cookies, I'll update this page and bump the date at the top.
